Tuition Policies

The Board of Directors of HSELC makes every effort to keep tuition reasonable and affordable for its families.

Every child at HSELC, regardless of family income, is subsidized in part through fundraising efforts by the Board and staff.

There are various levels of tuition depending on the age of the child, but all annual tuition costs are on average 20% lower than the actual cost of providing services.

For families with more than one child enrolled at the center, there is a 10% discount for each child after the first one enrolled. Families who need additional tuition assistance can apply for one of our Help-a-Child scholarships.

The tuition fee includes breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and weekly fitness and music lessons. Computer classes are optional for an additional fee.

Tuition is due by Friday for the coming week. There will be a $5 late fee assessed for any tuition that is not paid by 6 p.m. on Friday. Failure to pay will result in the child’s suspension until tuition is paid in full. Tuition may be paid by cash, personal check or money order. A $10 fee is charged on all returned checks. We also accept Visa, Master Card and Discover Cards.  Tuition payments are nonrefundable if a child is withdrawn without a two-week advance notice.

  • Fulltime – $190
  • M-W-F – $129
  • T-Th – $86

All Other Classrooms:

  • Fulltime – $180
  • M-W-F – $123
  • T-Th – $82

VPK Wrap-around:

  • Fulltime – $125
  • M-W-F – $90
  • T-Th – $60

Tuition 2nd Child Discounts
If two or more children from the same family are attending the Center on a full-time basis and during the same time period, a 10% discount will be given for the second (and third) child.
