HSELC Alumni Gathers to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Alumni from The Hobe Sound Early Learning Center in Hobe Sound will gather on March 8 to celebrate the school’s 50th anniversary and take a walk down memory lane.

HSELC started in 1962 and has sent students into all parts of the country after their education. Some of them still live and work in Hobe Sound. The Alumni party is an opportunity to renew friendships with former teachers and classmates, enjoy music and refreshments, and celebrate the rich history of the Center.

HSELC will establish the Help-a-Teacher program during the event. Funds raised or pledged will assist teachers to buy the extras for their classroom that all too often teachers finance out of their own pockets.

“We’re excited to welcome everyone ‘home’ again,” says Mary King, who has been Director of the Center for the past nineteen years. “One look at the pictures we’ve found from years past will bring back a flood of warm, happy memories.”

The event takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at HSELC. More information is available at www.hobesoundearlylearningcenter.org.
