I always knew I wanted to work with young children, because it never felt like a “job”, but rather an opportunity to create and experience magic.
In 2017, I joined the Hobe Sound Early Learning Center as a lead teacher to embark on my career in making a positive impact on young children’s lives and define my identity as an educator.
Initially it was an opportunity, but after understanding our foundation of what Hobe Sound Early Learning Center represents, ultimately, it’s become a passion.
Between our classroom dynamics, teaching philosophy, and school family culture, Hobe Sound Early Learning Center strives to create a safe and enriched environment for every child and family that walks through our halls.
As an organization, we recognize our role in the community to provide quality experiences and look forward to welcoming more children as a result of our expansion.
From the desk (and heart) of Mary King
Tone of the greatest joys of my live has been the privilege of working at the Hobe Sound Early Learning Center. I’m so appreciative of my colleagues and our leadership, today and over the years, at the staff and board level. But most of all, I’m grateful to our parents and their amazing children, each one of whom in their own special way left and lasting imprint on my heart.
For nearly 30 years, I’ve watched the center continue its growth from a pioneer in adopting early childhood practices to a leader that incorporates the best of childhood development programs in virtually everything we do.
Nearly three decades of working with children ages 1- to 4-years-old has taught me that every moment spent with a young child matters. This is a wonderful time in the lives of these precious little people, and my colleagues and the leaders of the Hobe Sound Early Learning Center agree that we have the gift and responsibility to pour as much positivity into them as possible.
From expanding our programming to serve infants to enlarging our facilities to serve more children, great things await the center—just as they do the children we’re blessed to care for.
